- Beloved Children
My husband and I had a beautiful daughter,
Who we welcomed with open arms.
She loved to play in the bath water,
And liked wearing jewelry, especially charms.
Next came our middle child, an active baby boy,
Who would sit and play in a playpen.
He enjoyed tractors and other farm toys,
Loved rocking, cuddling time and time again.
Our youngest child was an energetic son,
Who loved to climb really high.
He learned the Army crawl, walk, skip, run,
Talked, made us excited when he waved bye-bye.
We loved our children very much,
When we disciplined, they thought we did not.
We hugged, kissed used a gentle touch,
wrapped them in a cuddly blanket we bought.
